Today Zack and I hiked to the summit of the South Sister Mountain (the biggest of 3 sister mountains).  It was 12 miles round trip.  Took us about 7 hours to do the whole thing.  It was warm most of the walk up but freezing cold at the 10,380 foot summit.

Smith Rock

I'm currently spending 3 weeks in Bend, Oregon staying with my friend Anthony.  Yesterday we went to Smith Rock, 30 miles North of Bend.  We parked the car and hiked down into the valley where we hopped across rocks to cross crooked river.  From there we made a steep, hot climb up the ridge to the top of the rock.  We circled around the entire rock and ended up at "monkey face," as seen in the pictures.  It was a great hike with amazing scenery, however my legs are definitely tired today.
