Sara and I drove over 1,500 miles south to New Orleans through the 7 states; Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana.  The trip took us almost 5 full days with our many stops along the way in various cities and national parks.  My favorite was the Cumberland Gap which had the tri-state peak.  In a matter of feet I was able to walk from Virginia to Tennessee to Kentucky.

  1. I love that you dress the same on a road trip as you did at the office.

  2. This was a fun trip. I'm glad we ventured down all those scenic parkways - I liked the horse ranches in Kentucky and the Natchez Trace (before the rock star hater pulled us over). Maybe we can take another trip when you get back from Nepal/the other side of the world.

  3. Doty- I had to save all my money for this trip instead of buying new clothes. I'm hoping I can afford a red sweatshirt and some Toms someday though.
